Nor do we have any guarantee that our darkness constructs and tendrils won't vanish when their source body sleeps. If either case is true then the setup we have re: the fairies of light would be pointless and I have a vested interest in making contact with them when they wake up. Sleeping would also risk missing this window of opportunity as well due to the possibility of sleeping past it. Especially with how long Rumia's been up already.
