Indeed, that is a huge relief to know things won't just disappear. But just for clarification, is this archive free from the risk of going down like the V2 forums were, until now?

The archive is on Tom's hosting like the new site, no longer hosted on helvetica's old server.

Here's hoping that'll no longer be a tradition with the new leadership. (I'm totally not biased at all!)

It's time to be a warrior against my fellow youkai, and announce that I, BigAwoo, have been reborn as Memomecha, and I'll hope to at least provide a little bit of assistance.
At least I got my correct email for this.
Going into buisness once more.

My ISP's DNS finally resolving the site so I'm here now. A couple of things I've been pondering in the meantime:
* Skimming the archives reminded me that back in the day there was a Twitter account for the site @TouhouMotK, but it hasn't posted in years. I wonder if it would be worth reviving it again.
* Did you know the forum has a page on fanlore.org? I stumbled on it a couple of days back but it's basically a stub. Might be a good place to chronicle the site's history and role in Touhou fandom.

The Twitter account isn't accessible. There was a login in the old site's staff forum, but it doesn't work anymore (I tested it both a year ago and last month). We'd need to create another if so, unless one of the v2 admins still has access to it.

I've thought about recreating the MotK Twitter, but it doesn't feel like a priority at this point?

I'm not a regular Twitter user myself, so I'm not particularly sure what people would expect from a site Twitter, either.

I used to have the login (all the terrible puns were from me) but I can't find it anywhere so it's probably a loss.

Ah... It wasn't the Luna Dial that messed me up, but the format of the PC-98 name. I thought I had to write "NEC PC-9800 series" or something really specific like that.

But annoyed hardships aside, I'm really glad that we're back and talking freely! It's pretty much a miracle!
Even when MotK returns, F.O.E.!

I haven't visited the site in ages, and I am in a cloudy mix of feelings upon reading what happened.

But it's very nice that everything wasn't removed. The place holds too many dear memories of mine.

I'm here too :) Just a small congrats on the new site, gives it a fresher, modern look!

Also, very awesome that the old site could still be referenced and was held as an archive. There is a countless amount of valuable information there which would have been a crying shame to lose, so kudos for keeping that still accessible! :) Well done for all your hard work!

Lettyjournal is still here, it's just got no posts in it yet. IIRC it even had the post number restriction lowered in this incarnation of the forum.

Ah right, I assume that I don't have access to it yet. I'm used to the entire shrinemaiden cafe being off limits until you get somthing like 10 posts so with that not really being a thing, I assumed lettyjournal straight up didn't exist. Thank you.

Yes, LettyJournal is 5 posts here, rather than 10 on v2.

It feels as if I'm one of very few people who got the clock captcha first try...but that might be because I'm wearing an analogue watch.

Anyway...I've been here for a decent amount of time, but I reduced myself to "lurker" status, like in the last moments of MotK v2 (now archived). So....yeah.

Yeah I got the clock captcha first try too, didn't feel hard to me. Seems we're fairly mixed on this.

We (in the Discord discussion these past 2 days) couldn't determine the problem DMNBT was having, but it was not making a mistake on the captcha. For some reason the response was interpreted as blank, even when it was correct. I eventually decided to register the account myself to not delay DMNBT any further.

That analog clock is worse than the most horrendous torture devices of hell.
And i seem unable to retain my profile picture as i no longer have my amount of posts from the previous forum carried over. I express dissatisfaction in the rule limiting certain essential features based on post amount.

Interesting forum statistics are available here and for the old forum available here

Data on the new forum is still in its infancy so expect some inaccuracies but its still interesting to look at

...Thinking about it, one nice thing is that I don't have to come into the fold of this forum and immediately post a nonsense thread about bad fangames and get the thread locked. sorry Edible.

Fresh starts are always an experience indeed.
