Neo Gensokyo Quest
« on: February 04, 2022, 07:59:52 AM »
> It's been long enough. Let's get this started already.
> Please choose a Touhou Character.

> Example: Sanae Kochiya. Wind Priestess of the Moriya Shrine. In the past, you moved to Gensokyo with your shrine's goddesses, Kanako Yasaka and Suwako Moriya, due to a dwindling supply of faith in the outside world. Shortly after the move, you met your rival, Reimu Hakurei. Despite an initially rough start, you've become a friend of hers and your shrine had found it's place in Gensokyo back then.

> Aya Shameimaru! She has somehow managed to avoid never having a named quest on any iteration of this website.
>Sekibanki.
> Aya Shameimaru. Pure and Honest Reporter of Fantasy. The fastest girl in Gensokyo and an extremely capable combatant. A Crow Tengu working as a reporter with her own newspaper.
> Sekibanki. Purely Stiff-Necked Rokurokubi. A youkai who doesn't often stick her neck into others business, but still has her head in the clouds when comparing herself to them. Despite being among others most often, she's crowned as the most antisocial of the grassroots youkai network at times.
//ah, a tie with still no break yet. Wonderful.

> You are Shameimaru Aya. Gensokyo has been strange lately. You're not sure what it as, but something's wrong. You feel like you need to move quickly for it, but having no leads didn't help...
> You stand at a high point in Youkai Mountain. Well, still lower than the Moriya Shrine but...

> You are Sekibanki. You've already been introduced. Aside from a bit of a weird feeling, nothing's different in the human village, and you don't really care much.

Aya:
> Your camera is practically limitless. Getting a good shot requires some time and focus though.
> You know that you're the fastest~
> You dont believe so.
> You give your fan a light swing.
> a breeze briefly begins, but just as quickly dies down.
> You... Dont know. The sky looks... Plain. You cant tell if its morning or night.
> Hatate is a friend. She calls you her rival, due to challenging your newspaper, but you don't think she takes it seriously. The two of you bump into each other surprisingly often. You believe she'd have your back if you were in deep trouble...
> You think Momiji could be a friend. Again, for the previously mentioned details. She's less friendly than Harare is, though. Not like Hatate's a best buddy or anything.
> Youre not sure ypu can make a major case for the Moriya Shrine residents. But you do bother the non-mountain residents the most out of any Tengu. Such as Rei... Such as the Human Village.
> Theres not much others youre specially acquainted with that other Tengu aren't.
> Nothing unusual has really happened recently... Even now you feel such, deapite the strange sensation.
> Things dont seem to be very hostile to one another. You dont think Gensokyo would last well if they were. There are small jabs, but you suspect that theyre all trying to better Gensokyo anyways, much as you wouldn't wrote that down. The Buddhists and the Taoists are the most notable ones, led by Hijiri Byakuren and Toyosatomimi no Miko respectively. The populace doesn't seem to care too much about the Youkai situation, however. There haven't been many attacks reported outside of incidents. Then there's that Youkai and Tsukumogami group, led by Seija Kijin. Despite seemingly not consisting of any humans, they don't appear aggressive towards them or anything. You haven't found the right time to report more extensively on them.
> You recall just flying outside. Maybe it was in wonder about the odd wind?

Seki:
> They can be friends.
> Its evident that they're closer than friends. You wouldn't call them as annoying as actual lovers in the village, though.
> You dont recall. There hasn't been much going on, in your opinion.
> You're in the Human Village a lot. And around it too. You suppose you also visit Misty Lake sometimes, since Wakasagihime is usually bound there.
> Nothing in particular. Maybe snagging a newspaper if you can find any, but you needn't go out of your way for such. The others will eventually tell of news if theres something happening.
> Yes and No. You do read the newspaper when you have the chance, but you arent subscribed to it. ...no, youre not stealing it. One man's trash is another man's-... Something useful for the network.
> No. You never thought so selfishly before.
> You dont know. But its weird. You should know. Rather, you remember that a full moon was coming up. Of course you have to keep track of that... But now it feels like you cant tell.
> Wakasagihime and Kagerou are most.notable because they always seem to want you around, despite how much more theyd benefit from leaving you behind. Its frequent enough to where you're sure they're not doing it out of pity nor secretly not inviting you either. You somewhat hope that they dont see you as close as a friend as they see each other...
> You suppose you know of some of the Tsukumogami, mainly, the rhythmic ones. They seemed caught up in that incident you were as well. There's also the Prismriver sisters, but you don't know much about them either.
> You haven't seen anything notable to remember. Nor has anyone in the network reported anything.
> As if you would know.
> Brushing up on your knowledge of the people you know and wondering what day it as, apparently.

Seki:
> You can manage a few. Too many starts to get to you though. Usually, you shouldn't ever need more than 4. It's not like you fight a lot or go for a ton of reconnaissance.
> As the youkai you are, it's just natural to you.
> They act based on you.
> You prefer to take it easy.
> It's why you don't call them lovers. As far as anyone's concerned, they're really close friends. Whether they openly move further, back, or stay that way is their choice. You don't bother them about it. As long as they don't end up feeling that sort of way to you, at least...
> You believe a normal person would have those sorts of problems if they could separate their head, but you always have a good idea of where your body or head is. Not that one being lost should ever be a problem, as you could always just make a new head and stop using a previous one.

Aya:
> Who don't you usually pester for scoops and news?
> Another of the higher ups. Again, nothing special about you compared to the other Tengu. As for your opinion on her, you don't think too highly. She's not trying to make things better for the lesser Tengu, so you don't care much about her. Just like most of them. Obviously, she doesn't match your speed. There's very few who can even get remotely close to your speed anyways.

> You'd expect Hatate to still be in her home, if not around it. Unless there's something going on elsewhere. Even then, it'd be better to search for her here than there. Momiji is likewise usually on the mountain, but you believe she visits other places even less often than Hatate. You don't know about Megumu, however.

> You do. You just don't want to stand out.
> Though you want to try some out one day, you'll likely never get the chance. So you go for what benefits you most. Anyone sneaking a peek wont get off lightly regardless. You prefer commando. You can't really bring yourself to buy something fancy to enjoy wearing besides the regular yourself, and asking Kagerou to is still too much. You doubt Wakasagihime is much different
