Spoilers for Higurashi Kai (Arcs 5-8) and Sotsu:
Spoiler:
Rena does kill Rina in Tsumihoroboshi (Arc 6) and also in Higurashi Sotsu, however that only happens due to Rena going L5 from Hinamizawa Syndrome which we know didn't happen in Onikakushi because she doesn't go insane in that chapter, only Keiichi does as seen when he remembers the events of Onikakushi in Tsumihoroboshi. It's more likely she seems anxious of the police in Onikakushi because Keiichi is going insane due to Hinamizawa Syndrome, Ooishi wanting dirt on the Okazaki family, and Rena's history with the police since while she didn't kill anyone in this loop, she did injure several students at her old school.

Oh, right, the last one explains it. I think Onikakushi only briefly mentions the incident at Rena's old school, but the answer arc shows it in more detail.

Spoilers of Onikakushi ending

Spoiler:
So supposedly, Keiichi could've killed himself brutally due to the mysterious drug that killed Tomitake: But what's strange is that he didn't get injected and killed Mion and Rena out of desperation. So, maybe the cause of his death was caused by Oyashiro-sama.

It was explicitly told in the game, duh! Literally after the Watanagashi Festival in Onikakushi!!

Oh, right. I do like how it's just a THEORY though, and you're free to guess what's going on. And also that the REAL cause is not even hinted at yet, but the things mentioned are part of it in a way.

I mean,
Spoiler:
Keiichi doesn't remember what happened after Mion and Rena pinned him down and he started attacking him. And once he becomes aware of what's happening again he can't find the needle. So it's left unclear whether or not he was injected or not. Plus Keiichi mentions how it could've been a hallucination so that's also a possibility.

Oh, that's how it happens in the game? Huh, anime's a bit different there.
Spoiler:
He tapes the syringe with a note to the back of the clock, but mysterious people clean it up so whatever.

Sorry for not posting much in this thread, but I'll tell my experience reading Chpt. 2 ~Watanagashi~ up until I stopped at the start of Chapter 5 (or Day 5).

Spoiler:
Well, to start off; since I am using the 07th Mod, I got the CG of Rena getting excited of having a doll given to her while Mion looks at it in a sad way, which is kinda cute yet sad that Mion didn't get the doll. For Keiichi's masculinity..... It was already destroyed in Onikakushi; and it was further annihilated the moment he cross-dressed as a maid.... :cirnotan:

For Shion.... Sure, she's less of a troll than Mion, but Mion is the funniest: Like you can put her in a stupid situation and it can be in-character for her. Also... It is cute how Mion acted a bit feminine when she was gifted candies as a (forced) gratitude from Keiichi (which's actually for Shion), really wholesome...! (^▽^)

But it is such a shame we don't see much of Tomitake in this Chapter, he seems like a cool guy you could enjoy talking with, but maybe we can finally meet each other again.

So... about the part where Keiichi had trouble with the delinquents, Shion came to save the day and tried to defend him, and then people of Hinamizawa started to gang up against the delinquents; young and old, male and female; just staring at them menacingly. It doesn't help to remember that they wanted blood against Keiichi in Onikakushi with 5 mysterious men raiding his house. So yeah... It could be a bit creepy in this context.

And here's one thing that Rena said that is interesting... "Appearances can be deceiving." It is a normal sentence at first, until you remembered what VN we're playing. I am in the "Oyashiro-sama is the Problem" group (even though I almost "accidentally" spoiled myself), because I know that Rena and the gang can't be full-on aggressive, especially her: Like her randomly saying Oyashiro-sama even though she left the village since birth!

So yeah, that's what I have accumulated while reading Higurashi Watanagashi. Sorry for it being long, and hope you a blessed day.

Hi, sorry for not posting much. It seems I can't read Higurashi due to personal reasons, but I have something to say relating to it.

So, we know that the village is hiding the gruesome murders in Hinamizawa, and it always happens after the Watanagashi Festival. Why do I mention that? Because while the case of murder doesn't happen after festivals in real life, there will be big consequences, from social out-casting to outright bullying, if you don't participate. I had watched a video on YouTube TV, and immediately thought about Higurashi. Guess art imitates life after all...
