> Sanae pauses for a moment before asking "Doesn't Iris' challenge make us all incident investigators?" and approaching while asking "Or are you perhaps the one who'll reap the rewards this round?" sarcastically.
> "Truth be told, as a former outsider the Youkai of Gensokyo fascinate me and my patron deities, who would like to learn more about you! So would you up for teaming up to investigate this incident?" the Moriya priestess enthusiastically asks.

> Keine wisely adds "You probably don't realize it unless you live here, but miss Sanae has worked hard to earn the faith of the village, therefore she has a lot to live up to."

> Keine affirms "She would never! I've known Sanae since she arrived in Gensokyo and seriously doubt she'd be able to perform her duty and exterminate a Youkai if it came to that. She's a kind soul, who as a former outsider is fascinated by anything supernatural."
> The receptionist warns though "While I hate hearing of my kind being sealed or exterminated, attacks by nameless Youkai still occur outside the village, despite being outlawed. Furthermore starting a few years ago residents have reported occurrences of Youkai using unbeatable attacks to secure victories in duels. I recall creating such patterns to defend the village against a so called outlaw, but it seems they continue to be used illicitly on unsuspecting victims. What I'm trying to say is, you'd be a fool to think the village would shed tears over a Youkai getting sealed or exterminated."
> Your conversation is interrupted by the ice fairy bursting through the doors and flying out of the building while announcing "I'll be the first to get the purple lady out of the golden ice!"

> "I've heard legends of alchemists turning lead into gold, but people? That's a new one!" the receptionist answers.

> Does this receptionist look familiar at all? It sounds like she was gearing herself up for that time when everyone was trying to bend the spell card rules to annihilate us.

> Unlike more civilized duels, there were almost never any introductions or discussions before the fight where you'd clearly see your opponent. It's almost impossible to identify someone in the heat of a danmaku duel, and a lawless one at that. Combined with the fact that those were some of the densest and brightest patterns ever created, there's no wonder you were never identified you as anything more specific than an horned Youkai called an Amanojaku in the outlaw posters. On the bright side, it appears so far that hanging low for a couple years was all that was needed to grant you a clean slate once more- oh and people mistaking you for an Oni there's also that.

One lesson is about the man working smarter, not harder while the other is about not blindly relying on size or power and assuming victory."

> The receptionist thinks for a moment "I have only spoken with her briefly on a handful of occasions and wouldn't know for certain."
> With a snicker she continues "I'll admit that I've occasionally underestimated my students 'ingenuity' as well. Just the other week I caught a young group of students from the village creatively using the spell card mechanics to share the answers during quiz time..."

> Keine explains "It's been a hundred of years since the last time an alchemist resided in the village. Perhaps some of the village elders or miss Akyuu may know stories from someone who was around when they were alive?"
