>You bring out your telescope and examine the sky. It's not something you're used to. The sky isn't quite dark, being morning and all, but it's not bright at all either. A kind of pre-sunset gloom covers the whole sky, You would expect that it would be harder to see the stars than at nighttime, but you barely have any difficulty. You think the difference is that that the stars are closer here.
