Back when I first read silent sinner in blue and seeing the cast I loved get beaten so easily was a shock but I accepted it since the general consensus was that yorihime was reimu but more experienced but lately I've been thinking there's more to that. I believe reimu understood that she was the "villain" and therefore would naturally be beaten by yorihime, someone who could be called her counterpart, to resolve the incident that she had a hand in creating.
