> The doll continues "So what catches your fancy?"

> "...Honestly, I'm not sure yet. I have a general interest in magical artifacts, but I didn't have anything specific in mind when coming in."
> "Oh, I should probably also ask about this before we get too far into anything: is this a currency-only establishment, or is trade acceptable?"

> You browse around the store a bit more, taking a look at the various minerals and bars of metals on display.  You're not sure what all of them do but nearly every color under the sun exists both in metal and crystal form.

> Upon hearing about the Mind Reader bottle she comments "That'll work, I know someone who's been looking for a bottle of that..."

> There are more trinkets on display, these are just the most prominently featured.  You'll probably have to ask the shopkeeper if you're looking for something specific.

> In an excited tone she explains "Dig through just about anything!  Rocks, granite, solid brick walls, even magical barriers are no match for Midas' Pickaxe."

> Contemplate the possibility of punching a hole in the barrier with that thing.

> "Indeed it is!  Oni strength not required, even a fairy can dig through solid bedrock with it!" she continues.
> She gazes around the store for a moment "Something that amplifies magical power?  There was this golden ring that sat in the store forever, which I was dreading would never sell but someone bought it a week ago!"
> Looking back towards the red crystal she explains "That fiery crystal is the closest thing I have to a purely magical item...  I'll even give you a discount on it since *tapping* into it's power is so unwieldy... no pun intended!"

> She ponders something for a moment "Changing size?  I've heard stories of a metallic figure that was able to become huge on the mountain above many years ago.  Not sure what became of the figure but a certain hell raven told me that story while trying to sell me that shiny metallic cylinder over there, claiming she knows the secret to producing the invisible magic it needs to become so huge."  She points at a tall bronze cylinder behind her with a wheel on it's top.

> "I imagine it has something to do with the wheel on it's top!" She stands up and attempts to turn the wheel, which doesn't budge. 
> She continues "Perhaps it's missing a part?" while pointing at a small hole below the wheel.

> Certainly, although it might be difficult to focus on something you cannot see or that is very near you.

> The wheel gives and the shopkeeper almost falls from the sudden change to the wheel spinning freely.  You hear a metallic clang and a needle within a glass circle rotates a certain amount before stopping.
> "I-I finally freed it!" She exclaims.

> "Thought that might be the case. I unlocked it for you. Guess we'll find out now what it does?"

[Tom]

> Is that a hint of disappointment you spot upon hearing you were the one who got it unstuck?
> She inspects the glass circle and needle that moved before turning her attention to the small hole next to it.  "I noticed the small needle moved, though I'm not sure where that gets us?"

> The glass circle doesn't look like it can be opened, it's made of a very thick glass or crystal with a metal guard ring around it.
> The shopkeeper explains "The hell raven mentioned something about invisible magic that the mountain Kappa can use to make things huge and even fly!"

> She answers "No, she was kind of in a hurry to sell it!  Something about needing the money to replace a thing that broke before miss Komeiji found out..."

> You met a lot of Youkai back when you were on the run, all failing spectacularly at apprehending you!  So willing to throw the very rules they claim 'protect the weak' when someone decided to stand up to their iron grip on Gensokyo's world order... such hypocrisy!  Now that you think about it, you did meet a kappa.  Unlike the rest she didn't seem particularly keen in apprehending you, more like she saw the whole ordeal as the perfect excuse to experiment with gadgets that clearly violated any definition of the term "Fair & Balanced".
