> Try building a controlled wind below the items that blows them straight upward, making it a tiny tornado if need be. Once the items are high enough, stick our chest below them and shut the wind off, so that that fall on top of (and hopefully into) our chest.

A few people have found countermeasures, but it's hard to say how many - you were actually the first folks I checked on when I resurfaced from underground and found how cold it was, and I ended up frozen here for a while instead. Eternity Larva here helped free me, and now she's freed you."
