The Me Too movements enters the esports scene

A lot of people probably know about this, but a lot of notable esports are dealing with me too allegations. Especially hard hit is the smash bros. scene with several top players and commentators getting outed for having sexual activities for minors. The smashbros reddit has a list of the allegations, which I'll link here. I've followed smash for a long time, so it's pretty shocking to see all these people I respected and cheered for turn out to be monsters.

I'm not part of the fighting game scene or fandom, but I've known a lot of people who are, and the impression I've gotten is that this sort of thing has always been an open secret. While it's deeply unfortunate so many once-respected people turned out to be part of that toxicity, it sounds like this is a band-aid that has long been needed to be ripped off, for the sake of all the people who have been abused/harassed over the years. Let's hope this leads to the community being healthier for it.

I wholeheartedly agree about this and about any "toxicity".
However I also take this occasion to highlight another aspect about allegations: they need to have at least have some always-valid proof and/or reconstruction for they must be true and and not  false ones forged for blackmailing,extorting,threatening,scandal-monging,discredit,etc. or mixed-in with those.
