Because they are cool, that's all.

And also they must not be forgotten, especially Rika... especially Rika...


But in all serious, the reason I picked Rika is because she uses tanks to beat Reimu, and even though she got defeated twice, I still see it as a win; especially since she's just a regular human compared to most Touhou characters. So I commend her for that (Also "She's In A Temper!!" is the coolest theme).

For Yuuka, "Faint Dream ~ Inanimate Dream" is my favorite theme for Yuuka, and also pretty much a chaotic person in the PC-98 era, so here's that.

For Letty Whiterock... I used 2 fanarts [1 (https://wall.alphacoders.com/big.php?i=724268)][2 (https://wall.alphacoders.com/big.php?i=93192) during winter late 2023- early 2024. And also I believe that she have the potential to comeback for a new Touhou game, since she's so strong on manipulating winter that she can cause an incident! So, that's why I choose her as my vote.

So yeah, here's the reasons of my pick. Hope you understand!!

This is probably my 3rd-4th time voting for my favorite characters.

1) Yuyuko
My number 1 beloved character for 5 years. Her elegant and soft demeanor, keen intuition, sometimes puzzling behavior, a really fascinating backstory, and beautiful Spell Cards. She feels like a magnificent otherworldly existence for me. I love her.

2) Yukari
She's a very interesting character for me personally. I feel like she's a "protagonist" of Touhou in her own right, as the true guardian of Gensokyo.

3) Reimu
Main character #1. I like her oriental vibe.

4) Marisa
Main character #2. She tries her best not to lose to Reimu. Big laser go brr.

1. Remilia Scarlet (Remilia Scarlet)

2. Fujiwara No Mokou (Touhous with pants are underrated, I really like her personality and her dynamic with Kaguya)

3. Eiki Shiki Yamaxanadu (I really like her design and shes cute)

4. Kijin Seija (Cool design, Ive gotten around to appreciating her more lately.)

5. Kazami Yuuka (She makes my heart skip a beat, and thats very important for ranking.)

6. Shameimaru Aya (Cute tengu girl.)

7. Wriggle Nightbug (Once again, pants.)

1. Septette for a Dead Princess (Remilia Scarlet)

2. Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke (Catchy, very emotional)

3. Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's "Kappa" ~ Candid Friend (One of my worst ear worms)

4. Shoot The Bullet (Fun to play and try to aim for a high score. Good replayability.)

5. Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (Overall a good game, although it has its faults, it has become a keystone in defining Touhou and has been a sort of launchpad into the franchise for many people.)

I thought you were going to put "Remilia Scarlet" in the parentheses there.

After much thought (not really), I voted for Yuuka and Kanako, skipping the other categories.

My reasoning:
1. Yuuka is a cool guy eh, grows flowers and doesn't afraid of anything.
2. What can I say, I love wind and rain, and her association with technology is just an icing on the godly cake.
