> Yuyuko clearly loves her gardens, so how about summoning and maintaining the perfect weather for growing flowers while we're here!
> Try summoning such weather in the gardens outside the area we're working in.

Help Me, Eirin! / Re: Seeking advice for avoiding bullets
« Last post by WitheringFlowerCrown on Yesterday at 10:36:03 PM »
Suspicious Person already covered almost everything possible, very eloquently as well.
I want to make mention of a Technique calls "Streaming".
Some bullet patterns are simply a lot of bullets being shot at your current position. You can dodge them easily by "Streaming", that is, moving slightly in one direction when the current flow of bullets gets near. This can free up a lot of focus and energy for truly difficult patterns.
For Example: Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil starts Stage 1 with Fairies shooting directly at you. Just Stream and you're fine.
For a more interesting example: Stage 4 in EoSD looks very complicated and intense... Until you notice that multiple patterns are just enemies shooting bullets at your position from different angles than normal (Below and from left and right. Rather than above). When you notice that, it becomes a cinch. ZUN like to disguise these kinds of patterns to make them look more intimidating, but they exist.

I'm also going to link This general guide with extra advice from the old version of MoTK and This Scoring Guide from our current Boss, Karisa.

EDIT: Pfft, Williewillus already made mention of it. You should watch his Touhoufest Panel in addition

> Ask Youmu if a particular type of weather could be helpful.

>"...A clear, blue sky. Or Spring weather, like a light sprinkle."

> "I'm f-fine thank you very much. Let's just move on okay?"

> Adopt the Hidari-Jodan-Gamae stance and start walking through the garden.
> Once we see any weeds, give them a good strike while moving.

>You calm your nerves from thinking of your sweetheart host and move while keeping your stance.
>At first it feels very stiff, like you're holding back your range of movements just for decorum. But eventually you get used to moving while keeping the stance and starting to see what Youmu is talking about.
>You move faster on the ground than before, somehow, and your swings go muc h further than before. Originally you would've had to extend your blade to hit at the ranges you are now, but it just feels like the regular range for your Sword now. Your vertical swings are fast and oppressive, overwhelming the enemy force of weeds.

> Think of ways we could approach miss Saigyouji.

>How to approach that ever-blossoming cherry blossom...
>You could just walk up to her normally and ask her out c-confirm if she really is an admirer of yours, of course!
>You could give her hints with a gift, just like she's likely doing with you. But what kind of gift? Could you even procure one right now?
>You could invite her to a gathering or a party? Maybe to a secluded location for a talk? Though that might look suspicious.
>Or you could flirt, but flirting is something that you've never done and probably never will do. You tell people if you like or hate them, you don't tip-toe around it.
>This is all assuming she says yes likes you is ready to accept your proposal... Wait that sounds worse!

> Youmu dumps another set of Weed Carcasses into her bucket. "We're almost done here. Prepare yourself, this next part is probably the roughest. It will help you integrate flying into your swordplay however. Another key adaptation to make in Gensokyo."

Myon:

> Come running into the shrine proper, pulling the chest out of us and holding it up to show it up. (Keep the rest of the trash inside us for now.)

Youmu:

> Point at where Myon is coming from.
> "That one."
> You head into the shrine and show off the box.

> "From the tunnel?" Reimu asks. "I don't remember any little box like that. What was in it?"
> You notice Aya return to the shrine, and quickly step in.
> "Alright-" She wastes no time. "According to Rinnosuke, that ribbon enhances its wearer's abilities, but also makes it uncontrolled. Apparently, its also meant to do something else, something probably more beneficial, but he can't get a grasp on what or how to get it to do such - likely given it's supposedly unfinished. He calls it the Inverse Ribbon. Or maybe thats what its called in the first place."
> "Sure matches its color I guess." Marisa comments.
> "That thing is annoying to hold onto." Aya continues. "It made me overshoot and kick up too much wind as well. I don't think it's uncontrollable entirely though. I still managed to get a bit of control and stop myself from just taking the entire place up in a tornado."
> She doesn't appear to be wearing the ribbon now though, from what you see.
