The game's soundtrack is set to be released on the 28th of november 2021 in the Touhou Kouroumou event, and said soundtrack is going to feature original arrangements of some of this game's original songs

The game is also finally set to hit your friendly neighboorhood(?) doujin stores the same day. For us filthy overseas folks, this is probably of little relevance especially if you consider the fact that the Steam release is a thing, but I can't help but wonder if, along with this release, some kind of addition / update is gonna come ? Cuz there's still the unavailable Greed Challenge thingy ...

And finally on uncompleted but soon to come things, the Thcrap folks are close to getting an english patch ready! While you can up and read the translation online already (and honestly probably fully heard about the plot by this point), this is always a cool thing to look forward to.

Tasofro announced a switch port for Touhou 17.5, which is set for release sometime in autumn this year.

Said announcement featured a brand new scenario for Toutetsu, along with some kind of update where you get to choose items or even acquire life items to supplement your run (probably part of the so called "greed challenge(?)", which would make it a bit of a roguelike survival run)

So yeah, as for the new story, I'm curious to see if it's gonna be a bit like the Reisen extra route from ULiL, where it ties in to another happenstance, or if it's just gonna be bring a closure of sorts to Toutetsu's character arc after her encounter with Flandre. Touhou 17 still have this 4th secret beast organisation that we know nothing about (along with interesting characters), so I'm kinda hoping that it's going the ULiL Reisen route.

Seems like they also plan on making it available for the PC version at least according to another announcement.

I'm still very salty about what they did with Reisen and the console-exclusives back in the day, so this is a relief. I actually happen to own a Switch, but I really don't think I would have bought the game again.
