~Hakurei Shrine~ > High Score Entry
Touhou Hall of Records

KirbyComment:
It's been a while since I posted a WR update. I might make this the last update that I post here. There is now a scoring leaderboard called "Silent Selene". This leaderboard includes every game that wasn't on RoyalFlare. That includes all PC-98 games and PoFV. The site is currently still in active development and the scene games have to still be added, but scores can already be posted there. RoyalFlare scores have also been imported there and it's been planned to get as many players (including Japanese players) on board as possible.

This means there's no longer a large incentive to post scores on this forum to see these scores on a leaderboard, as previously MoTK was the only site to have leaderboards for PC-98 and PoFV. This also means that less people will be viewing the High Score Entry board and this forum thread. If you want a fast and easy way to see accurate recent WRs, I recommend you view Maribel's WR page, or alternatively K・G's site which also displays the Top 5 rankings of every Windows game category (excluding PoFV). These sites still receive active WR updates. There's now also a WR history page made by Nylilsa that lists every score of every category that was a record at any point in time.

Taking these new sites aside, I will now also be more busy with real-life stuff, meaning that I'll put lower-priority things like this thread to the side. If anyone else wants to take over posting updates on this thread, you're free post whenever you please. I'll still make this post to share with you the latest developments over the past 9 months:

- HRtP Lunatic Jigoku 14,611,895 by mu021.
mu021 is a relatively new HRtP player who's been the only currently active player. He however managed to beat the overall WR from Pearl by improving the item chaining during the run. He's still actively streaming HRtP on Twitch. His current goal is 15m, but gaining another million is realistically achievable.

- LLS Lunatic MarisaA 157,345,690 by Haniyasuko Okina.
Okina made a small improvement with his main shottype, as ReimuB is technically the optimal shottype (albeit by a small amount). Miler could beat this score, but he's mainly been focusing on MS Lunatic, which is where the next score brings us.

- MS Lunatic Mima 203,308,890 by Miler.
Miler has been struggling making progress to his main goal, but he's made a 600k improvement. There was one death to Yumeko's second phase attempting the blue bullet spread safespot and a second death to Shinki's second phase while doing the 2-way aimed bullet supergraze. Miler hopes to get 210m and is still streaming his attempts on Twitch.

- EoSD Lunatic ReimuB 777,388,190 by cactu.
After 6 years, cactu has actually made a comeback! Alot of strategies have been innovated and riskier strategies are being used as well, such as spawngrazing the Stage 5 opener fairies, among several others. During the stream that Cactu got this run on, he actually got a 732m clear, after which he then got 777m soon after. This improves his old PB of 735m. The biggest scorelosses on his 777m were failing a Power Cancel after Meiling's first spell because his cancel on the first spell was too big, losing out on Power Items. He died to laser books in Stage 4 and he also got very unfortunate luck on Sakuya's last spell. These mistakes together lost him 800m. Currently he's racing towards this big goal along with ごぼう (gobou).

- IN Lunatic Youmu 6,941,575,740 by IwanaM.
IwanaM has been going above and beyond in IN, being pretty far ahead to the competition for IN's standards. It was only several days before this post that he achieved 6.9b, which 1cc'd with 8 lives and 7 bombs. This score however managed to clear with full resources!

- IN Extra Youmu 3,178,460,830 by Sakurei.
Sakurei has spent time on this category on and off even after getting his 3.159b in early 2016. Finally after 6½ more years he's improved that score. This score had 3.2b potential, but he got hit during Imperishable Shooting, which lost him that score.

- PoFV Normal Eiki 777,611,950 by rurorulu.
- PoFV Hard Eiki 840,343,680 by rurorulu.
- PoFV Lunatic Reisen 763,694,150 by rurorulu.
- PoFV Extra Reisen 342,570,270 by rurorulu.
Rurorulu is still going very hard on PoFV and making stellar improvements to the records. The nature of Phantasmagorias make the potential of the game essentially limitless. There are two peculiar things to notice in these scores. The Hard score is actually now the overall World Record! This I believe is the first time since TD that Hard had the overall record. This does not have anything to do with Hard having more potential however. rurorulu simply focuses on whatever category he feels like doing from what I heard. Lunatic Eiki hasn't been one of them yet. If he had a run as strong as the Hard Eiki one, it would undoubtedly score higher than 840m. This is also why the new Lunatic WR is now achieved with Reisen - ruro hasn't done serious attempts with Eiki yet. Despite the Hard Eiki not having a replay, it is worth noting that this run was streamed. The channel he streamed on (rrrjiji) however seems to have been removed.

- MoF Lunatic MarisaC 2,215,297,500 by EBM.
EBM (ebmoon) has been grinding MoF for around the past year. He's now beaten the old score of 2,214,529,240 by 名前の無い怪物 (Nanashi), who's suspected to have cheated his replay. EBM's feat was streamed live.

- UFO Easy MarisaB 2,168,138,790 by K・G.
shin's Easy record has been beaten by 400k. shin does still have the overall records on Normal and Hard, but K・G may still be aiming to beat these records of shin, along with shin's records of other shottypes.

- DDC Extra MarisaB 1,244,867,600 by Marisa.
Marisa is still semi-active in DDC, working on the Extra MarisaB category, making two improvements that amounted to almost 4m since the last post. Whether there's new strategies that he used or better luck isn't clear.

- LoLK Easy Reisen 1,877,770,150 by RB.
- LoLK Hard Reisen 3,206,264,130 by RB.
- LoLK Lunatic Reisen 3,703,001,160 by RB.
RB too remains semi-active in his main scoring game. His old PB on Hard used to score less than his Normal record. This is now no longer the case and the Hard record scores higher than Normal again. Meanwhile on Lunatic RB has increased his overall WR by 40m, reaching the next 100m milestone. Perhaps we'll see 3.8b someday...

- HSiFS Normal AyaAutumn 5,607,183,880 by ひろ♪☆ (Hiro♪☆).
Hiro has been HSiFS for the past few years, mainly focusing on Lunatic. Normal AyaAutumn was one of the lesser played categories, but he still managed to beat the record of 5.58b by そにつく (sonitsuku). Yesterday Hiro got 9.64b on Lunatic, so may be grinding towards competing with sonitsuku, who hasn't been very active lately.

- WBaWC Easy MarisaOtter 4,873,546,650 by みょん吉 (MyonKichi).
- WBaWC Normal MarisaOtter 7,993,478,110  by みょん吉 (MyonKichi).
- WBaWC Hard MarisaOtter 9,999,999,990 (10,074,017,080) by みょん吉 (MyonKichi).
- WBaWC Lunatic MarisaOtter 9,999,999,990 (12,064,857,630) by みょん吉 (MyonKichi).
MyonKichi has made a long journey through WBaWC, partly as a result of him being inspired by K・G. By now he's basically the WBaWC master. He actively played all maingame non-Otter categories, claiming the record on every one of these categories. With that experience he went after the Otter WRs, the last ones being the MarisaOtter categories, which he's now also beaten the WR of. The road to this point has been showcased in Suwawako's MyonKichi video.
