MysticTK error
« on: March 16, 2025, 04:48:51 PM »
:power: Hello everyone. I'm trying to modify Story of Eastern Wonderland using MysticTK and AutoSoEW by LunarCast.
But after downloading MysticTK, my browser doesn't allow me to get this file, it warms me about a virus or malware, and when I try Virustotal, it warned me of a trojan.
Is it really infected or it's all just a false positive? :power:

Niche apps and tools which aren't widespread are flagged by default in some antivirus. It's just false positives caused by scanners not trusting things they haven't seen before.

:power: Ah ok, thanks!

And if we're still here, can I ask another question?
In the AutoSoEW file, at README, I need to place the 2 dat files in the folder and rename them to "th02.bak", but I can't find the dat files. I'm new to this scene, so I thought asking questions like this won't harm. :power:

They are the .dat archives from the game files, you can find them next to the game exe.

Now the party begins! I'm in deep gratitude! Thanks for making these tools in the first place.

Editing the main character sprites and when going to the boss, it skipped the dialogue and goes straight up, which the boss sprite is replaced by a enemy sprite without even touching the bosses sprite. (for example, Sara's)
My condolences for the necroposting btw.
