Recent Touhou works tend to have a more central  and relatively clear themes, especially in the newer CoLA releases, where there's pretty much a new theme per chapter.

At any rate, as far as modern 2hu themes from current times go, we have :
- Immigration for AFiEU, more specifically the changes new stuff may bring
- Dehumanization inTH 17, which presents the extreme of two bad versions of the modern world : one where humans are just ressources, and for whom living is just nothing but bring exploited ; or another one where they blindly submit to a superior authority that takes away their agency from them (AI to a lesser extent here, one of ZUN's biggest worries)
- Touhou 18, prolly 18.5, but mainly CoLA 36, which talks about value in the economic sense (or rather, ZUN's critique of it :) is it appropriate for financial value to translate to real physical goods that are practical for one's livehood, especially if said financial value can be freely controlled by someone else ? Plus how work should be viewed
-CoLA 37 : AI, and transhumanism to a lesser extent

It's worth noting that ZUN's writing is more topical, and tend to have referrences to some ongoing current things of concerns to him : some of his work have referrences to popular stufc around the time they came out, for example a Shingeki no Kyojin reference in a DDC Shinmyoumaru spell, clear allusions to the big cough in Detective Satori, allusions and parody of a certain meme country in AFiEU ... heck, even the latest chapter 37 if CoLA (and prolly Hatate's internet-like-thingy is probably an excuse for him to try to give something that's like social media more presence so that he might comment on it eventually.

Been a while, but chapter 35 of Satori Kaisen is out, in which we get to see Fraudeguchi's entire neighborhood gang up on Goatmu (and where we shall eventually see if all of the introduced cast are gonna get owned by Fraudeguchi in a series of 1v1 after scamming a win from Goatmu later down the line)

I kinda feel that the setup from the two previous chapters is kinda unnecessary if we're decidedly going the battle manga route. Now dunno if the hole that spewed vengeful spirits in the chapter is what Reimu used to force her way in the underground this time, but if it is, I think giving an opening for vengeful spirits to invade the surface world is extremely irresponsible if it's for the sake of some petty personal vendetta, even moreso if you consider the possibility that Miss Miyadeguchi could have made use of the opportunity herself ...

Alternatively, the hole opening could have also been created by other parties seeking to settle accounts with Miss Miyadeguchi, but there's currently nothing to hint at that.

It would be ideal if Reimu's little incursion in the underground was done with the help of Yukari's gaps rather than some brutish opening. Vaguely curious to see if Byakuren's suspicion towards whatever might be going on in the Hakurei Shrine is gonna lead her to the truth of the matter or if she's just gonna find Yukari there (cuz she's probably the person communicating with Reimu, just like in SA)

The way this underground arcs present itself, the underground dwellers don't seem to have either much initiative or control over the events that are happening, so most of the problems should by the surface dwellers (whether it be the activation of the sealing systems or the creation of the opening this time

The only question to me is whether Fraudeguchi had some failsafe from a previous era in play : we still haven't been told why she seems to have such accurate and updated information about the surface world (if ZUN remembers that), plus there probably being a reason why she's called the jailbreak king : either 1/the opening this time is caused by the heroines, in which case they are petty and irresponsible (and in which case Reimu's gotta have a more compelling reason than getting payback) ; or 2/ it's caused by some failsafe Miss Miyadeguchi prepared (kinda expecting there to be no failsafe else she woulsn't be so down in the dumps in the previous chapters)

Minor takeaways :
-Reimu's binding vow on her gohei's length which give her a stronger striking power in exchange for reach
- That black undershirt of Parsee I assume mainly comes from fanworks seems to have received an officious status
- No danmaku ? I always had this vague impression that Touhou action should have bullets, but honestly the lack of bullets give more dynamic action sequences. Dunno why
- A scratch on Reimu ??? Very strange to see Reimu get grazed by an early game LitterallyHu

Regardless of the possible implications from Reimu's behavior this time, I for one appreciate the return of the brand of Reimu that went to heaven to beat up and drag someone for repairs : a one-woman invasion of former hell where all the residents are on edge agsinst you sorta works as a flex

Hey mister

Do you want to consider adding a category for Touhou mods from other games ?

Cuz there are some relatively high profile touhou mods that the community made for some non-touhou IPs that are do not quite qualify for either software nor modding, but are still touhou related creations that were made for other games

No links cuz on phone and laziness, but for example :
-Touhou Avatar Dream Battle, a very well designed tower defense in Dota2
-Satori mod, for don't starve
-Touhou items mod, for minecraft
-Various attempts at creating Gensokyo in minecraft
-Prolly some touhou related mods in terraria
(For the few ones that I know)

Hardly an exhaustive list here, but basically there are plenty of touhou infiltration in the mod scene of various other games / IP. It's probably worth it to consider giving them extra exposure

> Try placing it ontop of the igloo but don't let go fully, make sure the igloo isn't giving way due to the weight.  These fairies aren't exactly architects...
> Dispel the orb out of underneath and slide it inside to apply an upward force from within so the entire thing doesn't roll off the igloo.  Expand it to mostly fill the room it's in to spread the lifting distribution so that it doesn't make an orb shaped hole in the ceiling instead of supporting it.
> You place the spire atop the igloo. Surprisingly, the igloo doesn't seem to budge. It's like this thing was made to take a bunch of hits...
> The Igloo has no opening on the top, nor does the spire have an opening on the bottom. The tower is pretty much a gigantic snow-cicle or snow cone.
> Cirno seems to get to work freezing the surroundings of the bottom of the spire, pretty much welding it onto the igloo. Though, again, that doesn't connect their interiors...

> "I mean, I might be stronger than back then now, even without that weird influence, but I'm not gonna challenge you to a duel out of nowhere."
