Sooo what's your favourite boss theme of the entire series? Mine is sakuya's theme from EoSD (which is better than flowering night, deal with it)

Little Princess from DDC, probably. Every time I listen to it, I get super fired up and an incredible urge to go play the game so I can experience it ingame.

My favorite boss theme would be Reimu's PoFV theme, Spring Lane ~ Colorful Path. But if I were to say favorite character theme, which even then is somewhat a stretch, it would have to be Dichromatic Lotus Butterfly ~ Red and White from DoPP.

Also I agree, Luna Dial is better than Flowering Night.

Nothing has ever topped Gensokyo Millennium ~ History of the Moon as far as I'm concerned. If you bend the boss theme definition a bit, Spring Lane ~ Colorful Path is a close second.

I would rate it as my favorite track in Touhou altogether. Admittedly; I'm a little biased; because stumbleing upon this theme was how I discovered Touhou.

Entire series? Damn, that's gonna be a bit hard, but I have to say Grimoire of Alice is my favorite. Amazing start like Necrofantasia, but I'm a bit biased towards FM synthesis music, so sorry Yukari!

Absolutely The Venerable Ancient Battlefield ~ Suwa Foughten Field. Not just my favourite boss theme, I'm pretty sure I would rank it as my favourite Touhou song of all.

Tortoise Dragon ~ Fortune and Misfortune has definitely grown on me. It's my favorite but I also like Suwa Foughten Field and Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom.

Really really hard to pick a favorite, but Faith is for the Transient People, Nuclear Fusion, Emotional Skyscraper and Idolatrize World are top candidates. If I absolutely had to pick a favorite, it'd probably be Idolatrize World

Honorable mention to The Ground's Color is Yellow (does it even count?), probably the theme I've listened to the most due to it being on repeat when practicing combos in Hisoutensoku lol

I tend to like stage themes more in the series, but after 8 years of fandom there's several boss themes that stick with me. In no particular order:

MA Necrofantasia. Definitive and underrated version of the track
Little Princess - Every time I hear it I want to go play DDC so I can get the fight along with it
Emotional Skyscraper - I didn't and still don't play UFO much, but I was grinding hard and lunatic a while back and it just sort of hit me how good this theme was. The drop can make anyone cry. I think it's in the top 5 ZUN themes of all time. All the more frustrating and alluring that you don't get the best music-danmaku syncs in this track unless you play basically perfectly, lol
Satori Maiden - This fight is literally completely synced to the music and vice versa, god tier
Hidden Star in All Seasons - God tier drop at 2:09
Idolatrize World - Certified classic
Kingdam of Nothingness - Been sticking in my head lately, we'll see if it lasts
